Now that power has been restored to my house, you can actually read this page again.

Yesterday's quote of the day comes from the frontpage of CNN.com, whose major headline read, "U.S. warns of massive deaths if nukes launched" in reference to the current tension in Kashmir. I can't emphasize enough how valuable this information was to me. I remember the last time a nuclear weapon was used, there was almost no casualties at all. It's usually a relatively harmless weapon.

Yesterday evening, there was a bad storm that came through our area. In fact it caused the roof of one of the rides at Kennywood to collapse, killing one person. Although I never want to belittle such a tragedy, I did find the September 11th-like coverage of the event (3 hours consecutive on all 3 major channels) a bit much. Local news is usually bad, but Pittsburghs' is awful.

The Voice of Reason has shown us the light yet again. I'll never forget the furious laughter that erupted from my living room the first time Adam & Chris S. saw this skit at my old place in Ocean City.

Song of the Week: A version of Radiohead's Climbing Up the Walls that's a little different than you're used to hearing it. The source I got it from listed it as "Radiohead with Sneaker Pimps - Climbing Up The Walls (Zero 7 remix)".

The war has ended. Pennslyvania has decided that I am not, in fact, Jamie Cordero, and as such, will not attempt to revoke my drivers license on June 5. Thus, the greatest thermonuclear crisis since the 1964 invasion of Finland by Indonesian midgets has been averted. Victory is mine.
