GOP Delivers Another On-Point Message

I recently re-registered to vote in Pennsylvania so that I could change parties. I was previously non-affiliated, and I switched to the Democrats (I kind of felt awkward about spending half of my life at Pennsyvlania Victory '04, while not being an actual Democrat. So this past week, I received the following letter in the mail:

Dear Friend,

Congratulations! You recently registered to vote and you have taken the first step in being an active participant in the election process. Former President Ronald Regan understood this when he said, "Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day, we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children's children what it was once like in the United States where men were free."

This election is about our future. A future focused on:

  • Tax relief so hard working families can keep more of what they can keep more of what they earn,
  • Fighting and winning the war on terror, and
  • High standards and real accountability in education.

    We in the Republican Party strongly believe in everyone's right to participate in our country's electoral process. We urge you to consider voting Republican. Please take time to visit our website at www.pagop.org.

  • Elimination of privacy and secrecy for private individuals, while promoting these values in the government to unprecedented levels.
  • A social policy that is more biggoted and sexist than "compassionate"
  • An insistence on a tired and failing energy policy which places less importance on the health of our environment than the wealth of a select few.
